Sure looks quiet on the canal.  I think I’d have to spend at least 1/2 the time in the water in that blistering heat!

We did get in the river, but it wasn’t even a little bit refreshing. It literally felt like bath water & getting out into the air felt good! The canal was nice and quiet, but the water was pretty stagnant and not really welcoming. We did see lots of turtles swimming on the canal side (I guess they don’t mind the stagnant water so much).
Praise God for this nice break in the heat!
