A jelly fish. My left foot & right shin encountered one of these on Sunday & it was not a pleasant experience. My trusty iPhone allowed to me to search for a remedy on the spot. I poured vinegar over the "sting" and it helped a little bit, but the real relief came from swimming in the salty ocean.  By Monday morning, the pain / burn / itch was completely gone!
