ends and beginnings
| commentit was 1998 - she was 18 and the world was new - went to college - met a boy with shining eyes - fell for him - like girls do
all i need is september - all I need is the warmth of your touch - all i want is forever - tell me now- is that asking too much?
time passed on - he grew angry - driving daggers of pain in her heart - and all the love that she thought she knew just a shadow fading
he left her in august - standing in a parking lot -empty like the love he gave - yet somehow more alone
and she cried
all I need is september - all I need is the warmth of your touch - all I want is forever -but now I know that it was asking too much.
that’s when she met Him - strength in His eyes and nail torn hands - He drew her close with His tender gaze - covered her anguish with His endless grace
and all I need is september - all I need is the warmth of Your touch - all I want is forever - thank You Lord, that it’s not asking too much.
