Words are Powerful, Please Handle with Discretion

waking

comment

feels like autumn closing in
my heart falls with the mercury
the fragrance of rain on the air
and it falls
and i fall at Your feet

pride shatters as glass on the floor
it’s bittersweet to taste and know
to finally see that i can’t run this race alone.
the words are lost on the tip of my tongue
perhaps they weren’t there to begin?

it’s become so hard to pretend
thank You for awakening me again.
