Words are Powerful, Please Handle with Discretion

Push

comment

Push out the walls that threaten to suffocate
the dancing flame within
Trembling, curl up close to You
As You drown out all my sin
Ignite this tiny fire
So much warmth, so much light
It comes forth from Your loving Hand
You, the heart of all that’s right.
No darkness lingers in Your halls
O help me Lord, press out these walls
The cold nips at my ankles,
Your fire lights up my heart
I remember the biting chill
The icy fingers reaching
still try to steal the grace that shakes and fills
and hides disgrace
Ever in the cleansing flood,
Of My Savior’s precious blood
No darkness lingers in Your halls
Oh help me Lord, knock down these walls.
